Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when creating an account, including your name, email address, company name, and payment details. We also collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, and job scheduling patterns to improve our service. When employees use the PWA, we collect GPS location data during active work sessions to enable route tracking and proof of service. We do not collect data from your end customers beyond what is necessary to fulfill the services you configure.
How We Use Information
We use your information to provide and maintain the AFreshPet platform, process payments through Stripe Connect, send service notifications via email and SMS, and improve our product. We analyze aggregated, anonymized usage data to identify trends and optimize features like route planning. We will never sell your personal information to third parties or use it for advertising purposes unrelated to AFreshPet.
Data Sharing
We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform: Stripe for payment processing, Clerk for authentication, Cloudflare for content delivery and storage, and Render for application hosting. Each provider is bound by their own privacy obligations and data processing agreements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation, and we will notify you when legally permitted to do so.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher. Sensitive fields such as gate codes are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. Our database employs row-level security to ensure complete tenant isolation. We conduct regular security reviews and are pursuing SOC 2 Type II certification.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us or using the settings in your dashboard. You may export all of your data in a standard format. If you are located in the EU, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to object to processing. California residents have rights under the CCPA including the right to know what data is collected and the right to opt out of data sales (though we do not sell data).
